Ethics in Fashion Industry

Over recent decades the fashion and textile industries has been making changes; responding to environmental and social needs; publishing corporate social reports and working with industry bodies

JoJo Maman Bebe has become one of the Britain’s most successful and well-loved independent brands for mothers and children. Laura the founder and CEO of the company and her team have focused on using sustainable materials and recycling and reducing the brand’s environmental impact since before “sustainability” become popular terminology across the business world. The company tries to work with natural fabrics and uses a lot of cotton and recycled fibres, predominantly derived from plastic bottles. It took several years to get everything right. In the past JoJo Maman Bebe has worked with organic cottons and bamboo fabrics. Because these fibres tend to require a large amount of water to process them, the company moved away from the old method.
