ITS CANADA DAY!!! Todays marks the 150th year since the enactment of the Constitution Act of 1867, previously called the British North America Act, which united the three separate colonies of Canada, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick into a single territory within the British Empire which they called Canada.

This eventually led to the Canada Act of 1982 being passed by the Parliament of the United Kingdom, which gave full authority to the Parliament of Canada to make amends to their constitution. Although the bill was passed on March 29, 1982, it wasn’t until April 14th when the Constitution Act was signed into law by Queen Elizabeth II.
Originally called Dominion Day, Canada day is celebrated throughout Canada as well as in various locations throughout the world, attended by Canadians living abroad. HAPPY CANADA DAY!
