Today is National Relaxation Day! Taking time to recuperate and rejuvenate our tired minds and bodies may help prevent many health risks. Numerous studies show that relaxing and reducing stress leads to a happy, healthier life!
Nine-year-old Sean Moeller declared August 15 as National Relaxation Day in the 1985 issue of the Des Moines Register. He stated that “people don’t think enough about relaxing, they think too much about working”. He was right! The Stress in America survey, conducted by the American Psychological Association, shows that adults continue to report high levels of stress and many report that their stress has increased over the past year. Today is all about taking a moment to de-stress and relax from our daily responsibilities. HAPPY RELAXATION DAY!!
